We are able to perform ultrasounds on our patients and those from other clinics who are referred here.
We believe life should be as pain free as possible. We offer cutting edge pain management for the post op patient and our elderly family members.
With annual physical exams, we can detect problems owners may not be aware of in their pets; cats, in particular are masters of disguise. Vaccinations, heart worm prevention, and flea and tick prevention are all catered to the individual needs or your pet and their lifestyle. Blood work in senior animals is recommended annually to ensure your pet's health.
Puppies and kittens need multiple boosters of vaccines to ensure they are protected against deadly diseases. We will go over an in-depth puppy or kitten kit with you and answer all of your new pet questions as well as provide helpful pet information and treating your puppy or kitten for things such as intestinal parasites. Socialization is also very important and these issues can be addressed in puppy training classes with New Levels Dog Training offered in the clinic; our clients receive a discount for the classes.
We offer pet euthanasia in the comfort of your home by appointment.
Microchipping provides a permanent identification for your pet. A microchip can be placed in your pet easily and safely. We prefer that this procedure be done under anesthesia to ensure that your pet remains pain free.
Our complete in house laboratory allows us to obtain vital diagnostic information on sick pets or evaluate animals prior to anesthesia. Our equipment allows us to perform CBCs, blood chemistry panels, thyroid screening, heartworms, FELV/FIV testing and tick borne diseases with results in less than 20 minutes. For more advanced testing, we send samples to a national laboratory.
As our pets age they can develop health problems just like we can. With our Senior Wellness counseling we can help your pet maintain a good quality of life.
Pets need dental care just like people, especially as they get older. Dental care is very important and adds to the lifespan and quality of life of our pets. We will check your pet’s teeth carefully during their physical examination. If indicated, we can perform a complete dental cleaning under anesthesia. The pet’s teeth are ultrasonically scaled to remove plaque and tarter followed by polishing and a fluoride treatment. More advanced dental procedures are also performed at our clinic if necessary.
We have a digital x-ray machine. With radiographs we can detect arthritis, foreign bodies in the intestines, fractures and many other things.
We have state-of-art monitoring equipment to keep pets safe while under anesthesia. We monitor our patients with EKG, blood pressure, capnograph (measures gas exchange), heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and a pulse oximeter.
