In-House Laboratory

Our complete in-house laboratory allows us to obtain vital diagnostic information on sick pets, response to therapy, and to evaluate animals prior to anesthesia. By having in-house diagnostics we are able to get results quickly and start treatment as needed. Most of our testing can be completed in less than 20 minutes.

Our in-house diagnostics include:

• CBCs (complete blood count)
• Blood chemistry panels (including complete analysis, liver panel, kidney/electrolyte panel)
• Thyroid screening
• Heartworm testing
• Tick borne disease testing
• FELV/FIV (feline leukemia/feline AIDS) testing
• Clotting times
• Fecal examination (including direct, floatation, and giardia)
• Parvovirus testing
• Sedivue Urinalysis with Microscopic analysis
• Cytology (ear and skin)
• Fine needle aspirates (used to help diagnose types of masses/lumps)
• Blood pressure
• EKG (electrocardiogram)
• Blood electrolytes
• SDMA
• cPL/fPL
